In this era of so-called freedoms, today’s governments, much like the church once did, seek to impose their vision of a perfect and proper world. They speak of freedom, but it’s a freedom designed to fit into their vision, restricting what they find uncomfortable or improper. In the end, it’s the same attempt at control and uniformity, just with new rules and new narratives.
