Furthermore, competition between individuals has been an important evolutionary driver, and the exhibition of physical qualities allowed our ancestors to stand out from others, thus increasing their reproductive opportunities. Lastly, in early human societies, this behavior may have been key to integrating into the group and ensuring the protection and social cooperation necessary for survival.

Today, even though we live in a modern society, those primitive instincts remain present. The need to exhibit has evolved and is now reflected on social media, where we showcase the best of ourselves to survive in a digital environment, earn money, stand out from others, and capture attention. What was once a tool for finding a partner and ensuring survival has now become a means to gain followers, obtain validation and opportunities, and, in many cases, monetize our image and skills.
